Sweet & Tart Puff Pastry Apple Strudel 🍏🍎

Ingredients
1 box premahomebakingstry, thawed according to the package directions
1 Granny Smith apple (did not use the full apples)
1 Pink Lady apple
⅓ cup granulated sugar
1½ teaspoons cinnamon
Tiny pinch of salt
1 egg beappledessert #baking #homebakingnilla ice cream or whipped cream
Extra cinnamon for a little added flair

Directions
Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Peel and core the apples, then slice them thinly set them aside.
Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl
Unfold the thawed pastry onto the prepared baking sheet.
Sprinkle a generous layer of the sugar mixture on top of the dough
Gently layer the apples one at a time on top.
Sprinkle the remainder of the sugar mixture on the apples.
Cut strips along the sides of the pastry and fold them over the filling, alternating sides to create a braided lattice.
For an extra-golden finish, lightly brush the pastry with the egg wash and sprinkle some sugar on top.
Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed, deeply golden, and the apples are tender.
Allow the strudel to cool for about 10–15 minutes before slicing.
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream and, for a little added flair, a sprinkle of cinnamon.

Sometimes the moments we feel furthest from Hashem are the moments we're actually being brought closest.

This is one of the deepest teachings in Breslov.

Rebbe Nachman teaches:

What feels like distance is actually complete closeness.

We don't always understand why Hashem allows us to experience waiting, setbacks, confusion, or spiritual distance.

But perhaps what feels like being pushed away is actually Hashem drawing us closer in a way we cannot yet see.

Sometimes the higher perspective only comes later.

Why is a Tzadik compared to a tree?

Because every branch depends on its roots.

A tree doesn’t stand because of its leaves.

It stands because everything is connected to a single source of life.

Rebbe Nachman teaches that the Tzadik Yesod Olam is like the trunk of a tree.
